Ghosts, ghouls, princesses and superheroes will bewitch the French Market District on Saturday, October 20th, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for the 10th Annual Boo Carre Halloween Haunt in New Orleans featuring trick-or-treating, live music, kids’ activities, a spooky second line and more!
The Annual Boo Carre Halloween Haunt is a magical opportunity for the whole family to enjoy all that the French Market District in New Orleans has to offer – and the Festival is just the beginning.
Costumes are a MUST!
Get the family into the haunting spirit with festive costumes; it is a Halloween event in New Orleans after all! We invite costumed Boo Carre revelers to participate in the Spooky Second Line around Dutch Alley with the Arrowhead Jazz Band at 5:15 p.m.
Trick-or Treating in the French Market District
Enjoy trick-or-treating at designated shops throughout the French Market District during Boo Carre! Pick-up a free Boo Carre tote bag (while supplies last) and trick-or-treat trail guide at the festival information booth in Dutch Alley to ensure you’re gathering as many treats as you can!
Boo Carre offers a full-day of enchantment and family programming including live music, kid’s activities, and a spooky second line!

Know where to park
Avoid frustration. The French Market operates two pay lots that provide easy access to Boo Carre, the Riverfront Lot behind Cafe du Monde and the Farmers Market Lot on Elysian Fields Ave.
Insider-tip :: If driving into the French Quarter on a weekend sounds terrifying then you’ll love the Farmers Market lot. This lot is located just outside the French Quarter on the corner of Elysian Fields and Decatur St. a quick few blocks from Dutch Alley and the Boo Carre; lot map address 2170 Decatur Street. It’s an open lot with a pay kiosk for ease. Arrive early to secure your spot.
